“Haitian Art Décor – Colors in Art”
New Jersey - The first major exhibition to focus exclusively on Haitian Art Décor opens on August 1, 2003, at the Haitian painting Art gallery. The exhibition entitled "Colors in Art" features the artwork of Jean Richard Coachy.
Jean Richard Coachy delights viewers with his latest artwork featuring bold, magnificent larger-than-life abstracts and cheerful floral bouquets. His artwork challenges the viewer to see the beauty in the power of art. He strives to create serene, peaceful art in his collection of decorative art.
Coachy has been living and producing outstanding works of art for the past twenty five years. He is a student of the legendary Haitian master Petion Savain. His impressionistic, surreal and abstract style has earned him the reputation of one the leading artist of Haiti. His works are primarily in acrylic on canvas and gouache. He believes that the exquisite quality and beauty of Haitian art has been too often overlooked and under appreciated.
